question about a Weckl lick

Here's my version of the pattern ( excuse the v drums)

I'm surprised Steve hasn't jumped on this! Steve is a registered owner of this lick. It's called "the nine" and it's usually phrased, as the guys said, in 16th note triplets:
RllFFRLFF RllFFRLFF RLLRRL R (the last part is a six stroke roll on the snare, which is a nice way to come out of it). Keep the right hand on the floor tom until the six stroke roll.

If you play it very evenly, phrased in triplets, you should start to hear the phrase. It's kind of weird at first.

thanks Drumkid.....anybody else. I'm having a little trouble deciphering exactly what steve's doing

Here is a variation I stumbled on to:

R L L . F F F . R F F . R

1st triplet: Play all three notes on the snare.
2nd triplet: Play RRL on the double pedal (a la Gregg B.)
3rd triplet: Play the R on the floor tom, and play the FF as either RR or RL on the double pedal.
last note: Hit the floor tom (almost) as hard as you can.

mind to elaborate more about the lick? i don't seem to get the triplet feel when i play it. shutter shows 2 phrases of that?
